I teach topics in data science and programming as part of the University of Hertfordshire’s MSc in Data Science. I am currently teaching a segment on Large Language Models, and starting in October 2024 I will be teaching a course introducing Machine Learning and Neural Networks.
As a postdoc, I tried to find opportunities to get involved when possible. I recently took part in a series of guest lectures hosted by the Data Analysis Working Group @ IRyA (DAWGI; IRyA is the Institute for Radio Astronomy and Astrophysics at the Universidad National Autonomia de Mexico, or UNAM). I gave a lecture on MCMC applications in astronomy (link points to a recording of the webinar), which was accompanied by a set of example problems, and a second lecture on Bayesian model selection.
I have previously taken part in lectures for summer students in the ASIAA (Academia Sinica Institute of Astronomy and Astrophysics, Taiwan) summer student programme. I helped deliver lectures on introductory statistics and on python for astronomers. As part of the same summer student programme, I have (co-)supervised 9 undergraduate student research projects.
